  1. *HEK-293cells (3 × 105 cells) were transfected with 5 μg of DNA obtained from indicated source. The results reported here were derived from 3 independent experiments.
  2. **Transformed cell aggregates, foci, were counted by visual examination starting 2-3 weeks after transfection and the transformation efficiencies (i.e., the number of foci per microgram of DNA transfected) were determined.
