Fluorescent immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin sections obtained from YAC-treated HPAEpiCs on ALI day 7 using antibodies against markers of undifferentiated and differentiated lung epithelial cells. SOX2 and SOX9 are markers of undifferentiated progenitor cells of the proximal and distal lung bud, respectively. SOX9-positive cells are indicated by arrows. SP-B and proSP-C are markers of differentiated AECIIs. HT1-56 and AQP-5 are expressed in differentiated AECIs.
