Fold increase in cell number up to the 3rd passage. Per well, 5,000 cells were seeded in a 6-well plate with 2 ml BEGM (30,000 cells in total). The medium was renewed every 2 days. The number of total cells from the 6-well plate was counted after 6 days. Epithelial cells showed a good proliferation rate, up to the 3rd passage, of approximately 7- to 23-fold. On Day 6 of each passage, approximately 205,000, 687,500, and 315,000 cells were counted from the Polyp 1 tissue; approximately 550,000, 332,500, and 240,000 cells from Polyp 2 tissue; and approximately 400,000, 535,000, and 375,000 cells from Polyp 3 tissue, respectively
