Angiogenic potence in Matrigel and fibrin glue of positively sorted primary cells is equal to an endothelial cell line. Positively sorted cells, negatively sorted cells and the liver endothelial cell line EC52 (pos. control) were seeded in cell culture flasks and their phenotype was investigated with light microscopy (top row). 5x104 cells of each population were seeded on Matrigel™ (2nd row) or resuspended in Matrigel™ (3rd row) and 1x105 cells of each population were suspended in fibrin glue (bottom row) to investigate their performance in tube formation assays. Microscope pictures were taken 24 h after cell seeding. The scale bar depicts 100 μm.
